Challenge

Manual, time-consuming LRAs

Before shipping any pharmaceutical products, Yusen Logistics completes a full Route Risk Assessment of the journey, also known as a lane risk assessment. Yusen Logistics used to do this through large Excel sheets, which were then shared around to all parties involved, and edited and checked by each one through typing and copy-paste.

This method is very error-sensitive as well as error-prone and requires quite a lot of manual labor. To find out if there had been changes in the supplier's capabilities, Yusen Logistics had to manually search and update adjustments.

This error-prone, manual approach was costing Yusen Logistics time and money.

SOLUTION

One digital platform

Through Validaide's Lane Risk & Planning, Yusen Logistics was able to replace error-sensitive Excel sheets with digitized LRAs, reducing the time-consuming manual creation of lane risk assessments.

With quick, worldwide access to all their suppliers’ up-to-date locations and capabilities, Yusen could reuse this data when creating LRAs for their pharmaceutical shipments.

Up-to-date information and change alerts enable Yusen to adopt a proactive lane-management approach. Rather than guessing the temperature and other risks of a lane, Validaide provides Yusen Logistics with a well-estimated and data-driven output that is more valuable and realistic.
